Tiranga Hoist (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Har Mobile Tiranga, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Har Mobile Tiranga is designed to collect the minimum information necessary to power its features.
a) City and State (Approximate Location) When you hoist the flag, the App detects your city and state directly on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your exact GPS coordinates, street address, or precise location. Only the general city/state name is saved and shared as part of your hoist entry.
b) Name (Optional) You may choose to enter your name when hoisting the flag. This is entirely optional — if you leave it blank, your entry appears publicly as “A citizen.”
c) Hoist Activity Data Each time you hoist the flag, the following is recorded and displayed on “India’s Wall”:
- City and state
- Name (or “A citizen” if left blank)
- Date and time of the hoist
d) Device-Stored History A record of your own hoists is stored so you can view your personal history within the App. This history is tied to your device.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise/exact GPS location.
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party ad networks.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not require account creation, email, or phone number to use core features.
3. How We Use Your Information
Information you provide is used solely to:
- Display your hoist on “India’s Wall” (the live national feed, state-wise leaderboard, and city-wise breakdown)
- Generate your personalized hoist certificate for sharing
- Maintain your personal hoist history within the App
4. India’s Wall — Public Visibility
Any hoist you submit (your chosen name or “A citizen,” your city/state, and the time of hoisting) becomes visible to all users of the App as part of India’s Wall, including the live feed, leaderboards, and city/state breakdowns. Please do not submit any information you do not wish to be publicly visible.
5. Your Control Over Your Data
You are in full control of your entries:
- You may hoist anonymously by leaving the name field blank.
- You may delete any hoist entry at any time from your personal history. Deleting an entry removes it immediately from both your device and India’s Wall.
6. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics (such as total national hoist counts) may be displayed publicly within the App as part of its core functionality.
7. Certificates
Certificates generated by the App (containing your name/”A citizen,” city, state, and date) are created for you to voluntarily share via WhatsApp, Instagram, or other platforms of your choosing. Sharing is always initiated by you — the App does not automatically post or share on your behalf.
8. Children’s Privacy
Har Mobile Tiranga does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above (city/state and an optional name). The App contains no ads or trackers of any kind.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored and transmitted through the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
