World Clock & Alarm
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. This document explains clearly what data our app uses and why.
π¦ Package: com.debdip.worldclockalarmπ Effective: April 24, 2026π Last updated: April 24, 2026
Your privacy is our priority
World Clock & Alarm is developed by Debdip. This Privacy Policy describes how our application handles information when you use it. We are committed to full transparency: this app is designed to work entirely offline and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
01
π Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. World Clock & Alarm operates entirely on your device.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Your precise or approximate location data (GPS)
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or hardware info
- Usage analytics or crash reports sent to our servers
- Any data about the alarms or clocks you configure
- Photos, contacts, messages, or any other personal files
All alarm settings and world clock preferences are stored locally on your device only, using Android’s built-in SharedPreferences and Room database. This data never leaves your device.
02
π App Permissions Explained
Our app requests the following Android permissions. Each permission is used solely to deliver the app’s core functionality:
| Permission | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM USE_EXACT_ALARM | To fire your alarms at the exact time you set, even when the phone is idle or in battery-saving mode. |
| RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | To automatically re-schedule your alarms after the device restarts, so they are never lost. |
| VIBRATE | To vibrate the device when an alarm rings, if you have vibration enabled for that alarm. |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | To display an alarm notification on Android 13 and above when an alarm is ringing. |
| WAKE_LOCK | To briefly wake the CPU so your alarm can ring even when the screen is off. |
| FOREGROUND_SERVICE | To play the alarm ringtone and keep the alarm screen visible even when the app is in the background. |
| SET_ALARM | Standard Android permission to interact with the system alarm manager. |
None of these permissions are used to access your personal data. No permission grants us access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or storage.
03
βοΈ How Your Data is Used
All data created inside the app (alarm times, labels, timezone selections, world clock cities) is used only to provide the app’s features to you:
- Alarm configurations are saved locally to ring at your chosen time and timezone
- Selected world clock cities are saved locally for display on the clock screen
- Timezone and geographic coordinates are used offline to calculate accurate sunrise and sunset times
This data is never shared, sold, rented, or transmitted to us, to third parties, to advertisers, or to any external server.
04
π Third-Party Services
World Clock & Alarm does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that collect data, including:
- No advertising networks (no AdMob, Meta Audience Network, etc.)
- No analytics platforms (no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
- No crash reporting tools (no Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- No social media SDKs (no Facebook, Twitter/X, Google Sign-In, etc.)
- No payment processors or in-app purchase tracking
The app makes no network requests. All features β including world time display, sunrise/sunset calculations, and alarm scheduling β work fully offline.
05
ποΈ Data Retention & Deletion
Since all data is stored only on your device, you have full control:
- Delete alarms β swipe or long-press any alarm and choose Delete inside the app
- Remove world clocks β long-press any clock card and confirm removal
- Clear all app data β go to Settings β Apps β World Clock & Alarm β Storage β Clear Data on your Android device
- Uninstall the app β completely removes all locally stored preferences and alarm data
Because we hold no data on any server, there is nothing additional to request deletion of from us.
06
πΆ Children’s Privacy
World Clock & Alarm is suitable for all ages. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. It fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play’s Families Policy, as no data collection of any kind takes place.
07
π‘οΈ Security
Because no data is transmitted over a network, there is no data-in-transit risk. All locally stored data (alarms and clock preferences) is protected by your device’s own security mechanisms β your lock screen PIN, fingerprint, or face unlock. We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date for the best security.
08
π Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app’s features change in a way that affects data practices. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Significant changes (such as the addition of data collection) will be communicated via a notice in the app or on the Google Play Store listing.
