1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the Bill Generation app (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use it on your Android device. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
The App collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Shop / Business Information — shop name, owner name, address, phone number, email address, GSTIN, bank account details, UPI ID, and company logo image
- Customer Information — customer name, phone number, email address, and postal address
- Bill / Invoice Data — bill numbers, item names, quantities, rates, tax amounts, discount amounts, bill dates, and payment status
- App Settings — default tax rates and other preferences

3. How We Use Your Information
All data you enter into the App is used solely to operate the App’s features:
- Generating and displaying bills and invoices
- Creating PDF documents of your bills
- Sending bill summaries via SMS to customers
- Sharing bill PDFs via WhatsApp, email, or other apps
- Printing bills via Bluetooth thermal printer
- Displaying your shop name and logo on bills
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
4. Data Storage
- All data is stored locally on your device using Android’s Room database (SQLite).
- Company logo images are stored in the App’s private internal storage (
filesDir). - Generated PDF bills are stored temporarily in the App’s cache directory and deleted when the App’s cache is cleared.
- No data is uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party by this App.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with any third party.
The App may interact with the following external apps on your device, but only when you explicitly tap a button to do so:
- WhatsApp — to send bill PDFs or text messages to customers. Your data is shared with WhatsApp only when you choose to use this feature. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies.
- SMS App — to send bill summary SMS to customers. Your device’s default SMS app handles the actual sending.
- Bluetooth Printer — bill content is sent to your paired Bluetooth thermal printer when you tap Print.
- Any app you choose via Android’s standard Share sheet when sharing a PDF.
6. Data Security
- All your business data stays on your device and is protected by Android’s built-in security (app sandboxing).
- We do not have access to any data you enter into the App.
- We recommend using your device’s screen lock to prevent unauthorised access to your data.
7. Children’s Privacy
This App is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
- View your data — all data is visible within the App at any time
- Edit your data — you can edit any bill, customer, or setting from within the App
- Delete your data — you can delete individual bills or customers from within the App
- Delete all data — uninstalling the App from your device permanently deletes all App data
9. Permissions You Can Revoke
You can revoke any permission granted to this App at any time through your device’s Settings → Apps → Bill Generation → Permissions. Revoking permissions may limit certain features:
- Revoking SMS permission — you will still be able to open your SMS app with a pre-filled message
- Revoking Bluetooth permission — Bluetooth printing will not be available
- Revoking Storage permission — logo selection from gallery may not be available on older Android versions
10. Third-Party Services
This App does not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking. No data is sent to Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook, or any similar service.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
