This Privacy Policy describes how the Lab Inventory System (“the App”), developed by Debdip Bhanja Chowdhury, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our services. This App is designed for institutional use to manage laboratory assets.

To provide a functional inventory management experience, we collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: When you log in, we collect your Email Address and User Role to authenticate your identity and provide appropriate access levels.
- Device Information: We may collect technical details about the hardware you are auditing (e.g., MAC addresses, Processor specs, RAM, and OS versions) to populate the inventory database.
- Camera Data: The App requires access to your device’s Camera solely for the purpose of scanning QR codes. We do not store or transmit photos or videos from your camera.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These include:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase Realtime Database: Used to store and sync inventory data.
- Firebase Authentication: Used to manage user login sessions.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Used to monitor app stability and fix bugs.
4. Storage and Data Export
The App allows users to export inventory data to Excel (.xls) files. These files are saved locally on your device in the Downloads folder. We do not have access to these files once they are generated on your device.
5. Data Security
We value your trust in providing us your information. We use Firebase’s secure infrastructure to protect your data. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
