Privacy Policy – Geotagged Camera

This Privacy Policy explains how the Geotagged Camera app (“App”) handles information when you use it.
1) Summary
- The App works offline/on-device.
- The App does not collect or store personal data on any server.
- The App does not sell or share your data with third parties.
2) Permissions and What They’re Used For
The App may request the following permissions only to provide its features:
Camera (CAMERA)
Used to show camera preview and capture photos.
Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)
Used to retrieve your device location and accuracy (meters) to:
- show a visible stamp on the photo (address/coordinates/accuracy/time)
- embed GPS details into the photo’s EXIF metadata (when available)
Storage / Media Access
Photos are saved to your device using Android’s MediaStore into your Gallery (e.g., Pictures/GPSCamera).
3) What Data the App Processes
On your device, the App may process:
- GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude)
- location accuracy (meters)
- address (reverse geocoding from device geocoder)
- date/time (from device clock)
- captured photo content
- optional user-selected logo image (if enabled in settings)
4) How the App Uses the Data
All processing happens locally on your phone, including:
- capturing images
- creating a visible stamp on the image
- saving the image to your Gallery
- writing EXIF metadata (including GPS info if location permission is granted)
5) Data Sharing
The App does not:
- upload photos, GPS data, or addresses to any server
- use analytics trackers or advertising SDKs by default
- sell, rent, or share your personal information
If you choose to share a saved photo using another app (WhatsApp, email, etc.), that third-party app’s privacy policy applies.
6) Location & EXIF / Stamp Warning
Saved photos may contain:
- a visible GPS stamp (address/coordinates/accuracy/time)
- EXIF GPS metadata
If you share these images publicly, they may reveal where the photo was taken. If you don’t want this, revoke Location permission or disable stamping (if your app settings include it).
7) Data Retention
The App does not keep data on a server.
Photos remain on your device until you delete them from your Gallery.
8) Children’s Privacy
The App is not designed to collect personal data from children and does not require accounts or collect server-side information.
9) Security
Because everything is local, your security depends on your device protections (lock screen, OS updates, app permissions).
10) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” will be updated accordingly.
